How Does It Work?

1. Canada has been divided into four climate zones.  Toronto GTA is located in zone B.

2. The climate zones for which a window and door is ENERGY STAR qualified will be shown on a label or on its sales literature.

3. Simply choose a product model that is qualified for the climate zone that you live in.

If all of the original windows and doors in an average older home were replaced by ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors, the household energy consumption would be reduced by about 7 percent, which would save three quarters of a tonne of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions annually. If ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors where installed in an average new home instead of conventional products, energy consumption would be reduced by about 12 percent.

Many products will qualify for more than one zone in Canada. The more zones a product qualifies for, the more energy efficient it is. So, if you buy a product that is qualified for one or more zones that are colder than where you live, you can save even more on your energy costs.

The half screen is removable from the inside thus eliminating the need for ladders and step stools. Single "Tilt" Sliders may be joined with Picture windows or in "banks" of sliders to form large glass areas for a contemporary look to compliment any home.

Single Hung windows, one of our most popular models, has been designed for energy efficiency, ease of
 operation and architectural integrity. Single Hung windows feature the same traditional styling, details and energy efficiency as the Double Hung window but the top sash is fixed to enhance performance while the bottom sash "tilt" in for easy and safe cleaning from inside your home. Single Hung windows may be joined with picture windows or banked with other Single Hung windows to meet any architectural demand in both renovation or new construction.

End Vent "Tilt" Slider windows are a perfect alternative to theSingle or Double "Tilt" Slider. Picture windows are available in 3 distinct profiles. The first, called High Profile matches both Casement and Awning windows for a smooth continuous look when used in combination. The second profile called Low Profile has the same "look" as a High Profile window but is almost 1 1/2" shorter in height, giving and extra 3" of glass in the height and width of the window. The third profile matches all the Slider windows as well as the Double Hung and  Single Hung windows.

Basement window is the finishing touch to any window project. The Basement window has been designed for those hard to get at window wells and high ceilings found in many homes. Simple, yet surprisingly efficient, the Basement window is designed around a "raised rail" concept found on many European windows.
